Turning off automatic security settings in Windows XP Security Pack 2

This operating system includes improved security features to protect from malicious code travelling over the internet. However, if you are having trouble with WebTycho, including downloading files, turning off these features may be helpful.

1. Open the Control Panel

2. Double Click on Security Center.

 

3. Click Windows Firewall and select the Off button. You can then turn it on again after you exit WebTycho.

4. Click Internet Options and select the Privacy Tab. Remove the check from the box for Block Pop-ups. You can then turn it on again after you exit WebTycho.
